Jute a wonder and eco-fibre is the raw material for one of India’s oldest Industries. Jute fiber possess many advantages over synthetic fibers like low cost, high abundance, and reasonable mechanical properties. Jute based bio and hybrid composites have been widely used in the numerous applications such as building and construction sector, automotive and sports industries etc.
Jute fiber composites are also aesthetically poor and limiting its application in furniture and interior partition application. To overcome the drawbacks of conventional jute and to increase the application horizon, there arises a need of an improved thermoset jute composites with better mechanical properties specifically, impact strength and aesthetics. Therefore, the invention is presented development of Jute based hybrid composites with combination of polypropylene tape, Stainless steel, Glass mesh, Cotton fabric, Brown craft paper, White craft paper, printed design paper with improved mechanical properties and aesthetics.
ATIRA Ahmadabad granted patent on the development of ThermosetJute based hybrid composites with improved properties and aesthetics.
