ATIRA Clean Room & Cold Room Facility
A new benchmark for precision composite manufacturing in India
ATIRA has commissioned its new Aerospace-grade Clean Room, designed to support high-precision composite manufacturing and next-generation material development. Built to international specifications, the facility provides controlled, contamination-free environments essential for advanced composite processing for defence, mobility, and aerospace applications.
- Dual-Class Clean Room Facility (ISO 14644-1)
ATIRA’s clean room is designed as a dual-zone system to support diverse composite processes:
Class 10,000 (ISO Class 7)
- Size: 16 m × 13 m
- Ideal for aerospace-grade composite lay-up, prepreg handling, structural component preparation, and critical assembly.
Class 100,000 (ISO Class 8)
- Size: 16 m × 13 m
- Suitable for pilot-scale production, assembly, material preparation, and inspection requiring controlled environment.
Height: 3.5 m
Lighting: 800–1000 Lux
Temperature Control: –18°C to 27°C
Relative Humidity: 40%–70%
Flooring: High-quality epoxy coating for dust-free, durable, easy-sanitation operation.
- Advanced Air Handling, Filtration & Entry Protocols
- Pre-filtration: 10-micron
- HEPA filtration: 0.3-micron for ultra-clean environment
- Air Shower: Two-person entry shower to minimise contamination
- Full Entry Protocols: Gowning area, anti-room, controlled material transfer
- Wall Panels: 100 mm PCGI/PPGI sandwich panels for superior insulation and hygiene.
- Dedicated Cold Room for Composite Raw Materials
Purpose-built for aerospace composite work requiring strict temperature control:
- Temperature: –18°C
- Size: 5 m × 5 m
- Anti-Room: 0°C to 4°C
- Max Load Capacity: 3 tonnes
- Suitable for storing prepregs, high-performance resins, thermoset systems, and temperature-sensitive composite materials.

This facility is created specifically for Aerospace-grade composite development, including:
- Prepreg handling and storage
- Composite lay-up and structural component preparation

ATIRA will make this facility available to industry on rental basis for:

This integrated clean room and cold room facility strengthens ATIRA’s position as a national Centre of Excellence in Composites and provides industry with one of the few high-standard composite clean room environments in India.

Our Products : ATIRA has developed a range of high-performance Glass Epoxy Laminates suitable for electrical insulation and automotive applications, including: G10, G11, FR 4, FR 5 and H Class.
These laminates boast exceptional features such as high-temperature resistance, improved mechanical properties, and compliance with international standards like NEMA and IEC.
We are also in the process of developing Carbon laminates for Drone and Aerospace Industry.
