Cotton Testing

ATIRA’s precise and quick High Volume Instrument (HVI) cotton testing accredited by NABL for fibre length, quality, micronaire, colour grade and more.

Strategically located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, cotton is one of our core areas of expertise. Our decades of experience in textile innovation, research and development, and quality testing for cotton and allied resources gives us an edge in the field of cotton testing. Over the years, our team of technicians have trained and evolved, to follow stringent quality control protocol with state of art sophisticated equipment making ATIRA one of the most trusted names for cotton testing across India. We are accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as a mark of formal recognition of competence and subject matter expertise.

Cotton is a natural fibre, and has inherent variability in fibre length, texture and therefore, properties. Variations are evident within an isolated sample of a particular variant, between samples of the same bale and between samples from different bales. The micronaire specifically is critical in predicting dye-ability, fibre neps and the final appearance of the yarn and the fabric. We test raw cotton for quality of fibre length, strength, micronaire, colour grade, short fibre content, trash distribution and several other factors.

At ATIRA, our team delivers high quality test results for raw cotton with accurate parameters assuring the quality and the specific outcome for the product. You can expect precise results with quick turnaround without any compromise on the accuracy to meet urgent requirements. Our high quality HVI cotton testing benefits cotton industry including both Indian and international cotton merchants, ginners, spinners, textile mills and commodity exchange bodies like the MCX and public sector undertakings like the CCI.
